NCAA Betting - Mississippi State Bulldogs vs Kentucky Wildcats

--

NCAA Betting - Mississippi State Bulldogs vs Kentucky WildcatsFebruary 15 - Tonight (Tuesday, February 15) NCAA betting fans have a smorgasbord of games to choose from, but the game that has our attention is the matchup between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Kentucky Wildcats.

The reason is that both teams will be eager for a win this evening, which should make for some exciting betting odds. In fact, leading online sportsbook BetUS has set the Wildcats as the -18 point betting favorites over the Bulldogs.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs (13-11, 5-13-2 ATS) are one of those teams that seems to have gone unnoticed for the most part this season, but if head coach Rick Stansbury has anything to say about it, that will all change tonight.

The Bulldogs are a team that usually deliver in the SEC Tournament, and if they can beat the Wildcats tonight and create some winning momentum, there is nothing to say they can't get themselves back on track in the NCAA Tournament.

You may recall how Mississippi won won three out of four games earlier this season before delivering a head-scratching loss to the Auburn Tigers. However, a victory tonight would greatly boost the team's confidence and NCAA chances.

However, the Bulldogs will feel the absence of guard Ravern Johnson tonight, who got suspended last week for skipping some classes and criticizing Stanbury. But at least the team will have guard Dee Bost and forward Renardo Sidney.

The Kentucky Wildcats (17-7, 9-10 ATS) have also had a mixed season, having lost a slew of key games, especially on the road (5). So the fact they will be playing at home tonight should come as a welcome relief for NCAA betting fans.

If the Wildcats blow tonight's game, they could be in serious trouble for the rest of the season because they need to win at least four or five more games to be in contention, which isn't beyond the team's capabilities - or at least shouldn't be.

With players like forward Terrence Jones and guard Brandon Knight on the team - who scored around 20 points against the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday, despite the loss - the Wildcats should be able to keep the Bulldogs at bay.

Here are the Mississippi State Bulldogs vs Kentucky Wildcats odds as laid by BetUS:

Mississippi State: 18 -110
Kentucky: -18 -110
