December 4 - It's Week 13 of the NFL regular season which means on Sunday
(December 6, 2009)
NFL betting guide fans will be glued to their TVs to watch long-time AFC
West rivals the Denver Broncos (7-4) take on the Kansas City Chiefs (3-8) at
Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
Sunday's matchup will be the first time the teams meet this season so there will
no doubt be a lot on the line for both. For the visitors, quarterback Kyle Orton
will be a crucial part of the game, both off-field as well as on, as he helps
keep then Broncos mentally positive in the race to the playoffs.
On the field Orton will be key to getting Denver's often wobbly offensive back
on track and as good as it was at the start of the season. The Broncos kicked
off the season by winning six straight games. But then the team lost four
straight games, losing its divisional lead to the San Diego Chargers.
Last week the Broncos boosted their confidence when they smashed the New York
Giants by 26-6. However, the big test for the out-of-towners will be on Sunday
night when they have to prove that they are back in winning mode and fully
focused on the playoffs and Super Bowl beyond.
The Kansas City Chiefs, meanwhile, will have to pull out all of the stops on
Sunday if they want to impress against Denver. The Chiefs have battled this
season, losing more than they've won. However, they have dazzled at times, like
when they secured a 27-24 win against Pittsburgh last month.
Unfortunately, Kansas City fell flat again in their very next game against the
San Diego Chargers, losing by a shameful 43-14. In that game the Chiefs yielded
426 yards, the fourth timer this season it has given away over 400 yards in a
game. In addition, the team's 4 turnovers resulted in 28 points.
But it's not all doom and gloom for the Kansas City Chiefs. In the game against
the Chargers, Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles ran for an impressive 93 yards.
In his last three games, he has accrued 254 rushing yards. Here are betting
