November 11 - Tonight, NFL odds betting fans can look forward to what should be a hard and action-packed showdown between the eager Atlanta Falcons and the able Baltimore Ravens at Georgia Dome.
NFL oddsmakers have a laid a Falcons Ravens spread that favors the home team by -1 point (O/U 43.5), which means that anything could happen between these two Super Bowl-motivated teams.
The Atlanta Falcons and the Baltimore Ravens are leading their respective divisions on 6-2 each, both having racked up two losses on the road. So with the teams extremely evenly matched, tonight could be big.
The Atlanta Falcons chalked up a 27-21 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week, but many fans felt they played a little on the sloppy side, especially when they allowed a kickoff return for a touchdown.
During the game, fans were not happy when Atlanta's talented wide out Roddy White picked up a knee injury, and left the field for a while. He missed some practices this week, but has been cleared to play tonight.
The Ravens, meanwhile, fared a lot better than the Falcons in their game last week, when they walloped the Miami Dolphins by a resounding 26-10. While the team was cohesive, one Ravens player came to the fore.
And that was running back Ray Rice, who chalked up a whopping 180 untracked yards, almost single-handedly allowing Baltimore to keep control of the pigskin, and ultimately the game, as the Dolphins struggled through.
So with game time rapidly approaching, and the fact that these two teams haven't played each other since 2006 (when the Ravens beat the Falcons 24-10), tonight's game should rank highly in terms of TV viewership figures.
