March 8 - This weekend NBA fans have a smorgasbord of basketball wagers to bet on, including the underrated situational bets, which is why our basketball handicappers here at Bonus Sports Betting have selected their top three NBA situational bets.
The games that will yield these top three NBA situational bets are the Hawks at the Bulls (Friday, March 11), the Clippers at the Wizards (Saturday, March 12) and the Lakers at the Mavericks (Saturday, March 12), all of which promise to be exciting.
Looking at the Hawks at the Bulls, on Wednesday last week the Bulls looked to be control over the Hawks, having chalked up a 17 point lead by halftime. However, the wheels came off for Chicago, and a seemingly regrouped and reinvigorated Atlanta fought back to win the game 83-80.
Bulls guard Derrick Rose stepped up and accepted responsibility for the loss, considering he was responsible for making only five out 21 shots and suffering six turnovers, as did power forward Joakim Noah, after he was outshined by ex-Florida teammate, Al Hortford. But after six straight losses to the Hawks, expect the Bulls to come our firing on Friday night.
When it comes to the Clippers at the Wizards, it will not be lost on fans of the former team that they played far better when shooting guard Eric Gordon was on the team, but alas he will be absent on Saturday. It will not help L.A.'s chances any the fact that its road record this season is a paltry 5-25, or that the team is probably eager to get home having racked up over 3,200 miles.
That said, if the Clippers can pull themselves together ahead of their showdown on Saturday against the Wizards, they may have a
chance to reverse their current trend of losing by an average margin of 11.7 points (when they lose). However, it will be interesting to see how Washington handles L.A. on Saturday, given they may have the upperhand. But are they hungry enough?
As for the Lakers at the Mavericks, Lakers' coach Phil Jackson recently described the team's four-game road trip as a 'make-or-break point of the season.' However, the team from Los Angeles will first have to take on the Spurs, the Hawks and the Heat this week, before they travel to face the mighty Mavericks on Saturday.
NBA betting fans will recall how the Mavericks beat the Lakers 109-100 in January as the 3-point underdogs, so the big question is whether the Mavericks can pull off another win against a team that has obviously come a long way since January? For our money the answer is very possibly. That said, NBA betting fans would be foolish to write off the Lakers just yet.
